Privacy Policy
MeeQR stores all your data locally on your device only. We do not run any servers, collect personal information, or sell your data to third parties. The only external service used is Google AdMob for displaying ads.
1 Information We Collect
MeeQR does not collect any personally identifiable information. No account registration or login is required.
The following data is stored locally on your device only, using SQLite and SharedPreferences:
- QR codes and barcodes you have scanned (scan history)
- QR codes you have created and saved (My Codes)
- App preferences such as theme, language, and accent color
This data is never transmitted to MeeStudio or any external server. It exists solely on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
2 Camera & Photo Library
MeeQR requests access to your device camera and photo library for the following purposes only:
- Camera — to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time
- Photo library — to pick an image for scanning or to save a generated QR code
Camera frames are processed entirely on-device. No images or camera data are stored, uploaded, or shared.
3 Advertising (Google AdMob)
MeeQR uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect certain device information to serve relevant ads, including:
- Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
- Device type, OS version, and general location (country/region)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. MeeStudio does not have access to this advertising data.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for MeeQR
4 Data Security
All app data (scan history, saved codes, preferences) is stored in your device's secure local storage. MeeStudio has no access to this data and cannot retrieve or modify it remotely. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data.
5 Children's Privacy
MeeQR is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app has no user accounts, registration forms, or data submission features.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through AdMob or any other means, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
6 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable regulations. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of MeeQR after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
